The right way to look beautiful

Everyone just loves to have a perfect body, skin, shape, and “perfect” is the word that we look for… in our compliments. But with the human tendency of wanting something more and more in our body just never seems to be perfect to us.

Everyone just loves to have a perfect body, skin, shape, and “perfect” is the word that we look for… in our compliments. But with the human tendency of wanting something more and more in our body just never seems to be perfect to us. Sometimes, we feel our eyes are too big, nose is too small and the list will go on, but here it is our own attitude that is not perfect, because of ever-growing needs and wants. It is important that you correct the real problems of dry skin, acne, at the right time so that we are at the right pace with the trend. We all like to master the art of make-up. We need to love, pamper ourselves and prioritize body care as the first option in our busy schedule. Body care will make you feel confident and glowing. This article will serve as a comprehensive guide for body care which includes Hands care and French Manicure. You can discover the key to glowing and appealing skin with the latest beauty products whether you are a teen-age girl or a grand mother. Body care: Adequate care of our body reflects the health condition. Many people, particularly house wives and physical laborers over-work, hence the same reflects on their hands. Inspite of the fact that the hands are exposed to the daily routine, there are good moisturizers and lotions that will help your skin to be soft and supple. Hand massage is quite easy just mere rubbing on the back of hand with the other hand can stimulates blood circulation and it even warms up our hand. Before you go to bed, apply dermalogica moisturizers or Vaseline on your hands and by the morning you will feel the difference. While, you are doing household cleaning work it is important that you wear rubber gloves because the detergents are extremely harsh on our skin. Cold creams also render you with soft and smooth skin. French manicure is natural nail care where the tips are pure white and it is suitable for all the occasions because it is very natural and the nails look healthy. Mineral makeup: Fashion statements change along with seasonal changes and make-up is a part and parcel of fashion lifestyle. The mineral makeup is the latest inclusion to the dedicated culture of better living. Mineral makeup is based on hypoallergenic loose powder that naturally nourishes the skin. It does not contain perfumes, talc, dyes or preservatives; no doubt the dermatologists are pleased with the new trend. Mineral makeup is the best of the kind for sensitive skin; there are lots of women who struggle with acne, allergies and dryness, mineral makeup provides you with effective choices rather than the creation of problems. It is very light and contains the natural ingredients like triple milled minerals of titanium, gold, zinc, magnesium that rejuvenates and relaxes the skin. Minerals are known for the creation of real health and they can revive back the beauty of your teen age.

Printed T-shirts: A Trend That Will Never Die

Printed t-shirts have acted as statement pieces for many years now, but lately there has been a serious revival in such t-shirts as the latest fashion trend.

Author: Adam Singleton

Over the years, printed t-shirts have emerged as statement pieces within the world of fashion. From big, bold pictures to eye-catching phrases, these casual yet stylish pieces are now nothing short of wardrobe must-haves. But the trend of printed t-shirts is, in actuality, a revival from the 1950s, and is something that has reappeared in the fashion scene many times since then. So why are they so popular, and why can we expect to keep seeing them pop up in future fashion trends? In the early 1950s several companies based in Miami, Florida, started to decorate t-shirts with different resort names and various characters - a trend which immediately took off, especially with the younger population. Then in the 1960s tie-dying and screen printing became popular, with many of the decade’s youth and rock culturists donning the designs. During the same time, several t-shirt companies began producing fine art designs for t-shirts, while others focused on specific emblems and motifs - mainly based on popular associations of the time. Throughout and since the 1980s, t-shirts have continued to flourish as a means of personal expression, allowing consumers to flaunt their tastes in an inexpensive way. Shirts with bold slogans were particularly popular in the UK during this time, as were hypercolour t-shirts - shirts that changed colour when subjected to heat. These were also popular in the United States during the late 80s - particularly among teens. During the early noughties, t-shirts started to emerge that focused on humorous or ironic slogans and print designs - a trend that proved particularly popular with celebrities. The political statements that can now also be found on t-shirts poses another reason as to why they’ve so effectively permeated different levels of culture and society. However, many of the statements and print designs on t-shirts in recent years might be found to be shocking or offensive, purely for attention-drawing purposes rather than to express a certain belief. Yet big and bold print designs on t-shirts aren’t always the most popular either – subdued, almost abstract prints have also taken off with those who enjoy print t-shirts for their artistic quality rather than to draw attention or make a loud statement. With the wide range of printed t-shirts available, you can easily add these stylish pieces to your wardrobe. Whether you want to make a statement with a bold or funny phrase, or let the pictures on your t-shirt do the talking, don’t let these timeless wardrobe must-haves pass you by this season.

Girls who do not have tons of money lying around, but want in on the hottest outfits and fashion trends can still do so even on a budget. There are plenty of items out there that look chic and stylish, and yet are easy on the purse strings. All it takes to land decent deals on cool clothes and accessories are heeding good advice and doing some really smart shopping. Yes, it is possible to get celebrity fashion looks for way under $100. Face it. Regular “Janes” seldom afford designer duds Hollywood celebs are wearing. As a result, people look for other means to fulfill their fashion hankerings. Some recreate the outfits of celebrities, pulling apart each piece and replacing them with less expensive but pricey-looking materials. Others do something else. The bottom line is: there are ways to get stylish without burning a huge hole in the pocket. Here are tips to get you out of a fashion slump and be one step closer to looking ultra-chic – the affordable way. • It sucks to find out your latest fashion splurge went up for sale a week after buying it. Before forking over a credit card, inquire whether the object of the fashion desire will be on sale sometime in the very near future. The salesperson might let you in on an upcoming sale, or even better, ring the item up at sale price on the spot. • Another great way to snag the best deals is to stock up on seasonal apparel just when the season is about to end. Comb through the sale racks for sweaters in May, bikinis in August, and short-sleeved shirts in November. • Avoid gift cards going to waste. They can still be good for swapping with others’ unwanted cards on various card websites. • Thrift shops, like high-priced boutiques, can prove equally expensive. However, friends’ wardrobes and closets are usually free. Arrange clothing swaps with the chicest of your chums. For varying shoe sizes or different dresses, consider accessories exchanges – costume jewelry, headbands, scarves and bags. • Get good selections by hitting stores on weekdays. Best odds of getting lucky are Thursdays, as these are when weekend sales pop up. Shoppers benefit from the price cuts while still having a wide selection to browse. The worst time to go is later in the weekends as stuff will have been picked over by the early birds. • After items stay in stores for months, retailers begin dropping their price to get rid of them. For those with enough self-control: wait out grabbing the merchandise for six to eight weeks after they hit the storefronts. • Benefit from half-off, buy-one-take-one and other such discounts - NOT by acquiring everything you are able to carry, but by bringing fashion-forward friends along. The two of you crave a new pair of pants? Hit the store together and get in on the special deals. • Consider shopping online using online coupons. These coupons are similar to vouchers people clip in newspapers and magazines, providing deals, promotional bundles and discounts. They are found online with codes people can copy, download and print prior to shopping. Some of them even don’t require any downloading, simply enter the provided code and start enjoying the savings. Sites compile them from different sources and make them available for free to Internet shoppers. Some coupons give percentage discount, offer free shipping (no territorial limits or boundaries for selling online), and/or freebies. • Everybody has that one place that messes up her shopping sense and judgment. Compel yourself to remain within a specified budget and guard against impulsive spending. Load gift cards only with amounts you’re able to spend and leave plastic moneys at home. • Take good care of clothes. Hand-wash delicate lingerie, dry-clean those tagged “dry-clean”, and never let the bedroom floor serve as a second closet. Favorite items will last longer this way so there is no need to replace them a few months into using them. With a bit of time and some effort, consumers can save quite a bundle with their fashion shopping. Whether it is paying brick-and-mortar stores a personal visit or searching through cyber stores, there are some definite money savings to be had. Even if it is just a few dollars for each purchase, all these can add up to some very substantial savings in the end.

80’s fancy dress three choices

Author: Joe Denver

80’s fancy dress three choices for women. Accented cheekbones, heavy eye makeup and bold coloured lips adds the finishing touches to this glamorous 80’s fancy dress outfit.

80’s fancy dress - Glam girl outfit.
This is a great outfit to wear; spotted top and netted skirt with brightly coloured tights. Yellow fingerless net gloves and hair as bold as you dare to go. Use the spray on hair dye in pink, blue or bright red or a combination of all three. Make sure it’s the washable kind!! Finish it off with vivid blue or red shoes. Eye make up needs to be heavy and striking. Choose what suits you best, greens or blues. Accented cheekbones, heavy eye makeup and bold coloured lips adds the finishing touches to this glamorous 80’s fancy dress outfit.

80’s fancy dress - Madonna
Material girl outfit. A long black dress with halter neck. Madonna made the bustier fashionable and it pulls in your waist to show off your assets! Wear a blonde wavy wig and tie a black bow round your head. Before you buy some new ribbon, rummage through your grandma’s sewing kit to see if she has any reels of wide black ribbon. If you find some, ask her if you can use it for your outfit. Wear black tights or stockings and a pair of black ankle boots. The fingerless gloves are well worth wearing; they complete the outfit and were one of Madonna’s favourites. Madonna made beauty spots fashionable, so this is a perfect opportunity to wear one if you haven’t a natural one of your own. Finish off with a bright red lipstick.

80’s fancy dress - Funky Star
80s Costume Similar to the glam girl outfit but the colour is toned down to an almost Goth appearance. It’s a black tank top with over blouse and a net skirt worn over knee length tight trousers. Hair should be bold and colourful. If you’ve got short hair then buy a long coloured wig, there are plenty of 80’s wigs to choose from. Florescent purple would complete this outfit but any colour will look fantastic as long as it’s bold and vibrant! If you have long hair then invest in a can of spray on hair dye and experiment! Finish off the outfit with black ankle boots and short socks. Wear plenty bold jewellery with dangly earrings and plenty of beads.

Top Fashion Tips for Size Sixteen Plus Women

Top Fashion Tips for Size Sixteen Plus Women

Another myth is stripes. Evenly spaced horizontal stripes on say a top or sweater can actually be extremely flattering. The stripes literally stretch you out giving the optical illusion of making your torso look longer and therefore slimmer.

Size 16 plus women - Black is not slimming
For those of you carrying a bit too much weight please don’t make the mistake of hiding yourself in black.
Black defines and outlines the shape of your body. So for example, great legs look fabulous in sheer black tights, however if the shape of your legs isn’t so great then a neutral natural colour will be much more flattering. This rule works with the rest of your body too.

Dark colours draw attention to your curvy bits
Blocks of dark colours not only can look very drab but actually may be drawing attention to your, shall we say, your more “curvy bits”, instead of disguising them, if that’s what you are trying to do. Instead, find a print that’s not too small and twee. The print will break up the outline of your body. Look at colours that suit your face and help make you look and feel well. Be brave in beautiful colour because you know if you are over weight you may as well look luscious and beautiful.
A black ensemble isn’t going to make a size 20 woman suddenly have Kate Moss proportions. A curvy, size 20, red haired woman could look stunning in a violet print dress.
Keep your fabrics mat particularly for the places on your body where you are full. Large bosoms in silk shirts – I would think not. Please stay away from shiny fabrics because the light bounces off it. Your worst bits will be hi-lighted. Imagine a shiny satin jacket and now think about the top of your arms. Unless your arms are your slim bit, the shine will magnify them and you will not look great. A chubby thigh, in shiny satin jeans isn’t a great look either.

The myth about stripes
Another myth is stripes. Evenly spaced horizontal stripes on say a top or sweater can actually be extremely flattering. The stripes literally stretch you out giving the optical illusion of making your torso look longer and therefore slimmer. Vertical stripes stretch you from side to side making you look wider. I know this is the opposite of what so many popular fashion magazines tell you. However, after dressing several thousand women, I know I am absolutely right on this point…so you will have to go our and try it.

A “no-no” for double breasted jackets
Large breasted women (and in fact really anyone carrying too much weight) should not wear double breasted jackets!.

These days it is getting easier to find stunning plus size clothes as more and more designers create ranges specifically for the market. There are even specific stores that specialise in fashionable clothing that is available from size 16 up to plus size 28.

A Woman’s Fashion: What About Vintage Trendy Fashion?

A Woman’s Fashion: What About Vintage Trendy Fashion?

While BeverlyLane.com has everything a stylish modern woman could want in new clothes, sometimes a vintage piece is exactly what you need to complement your new trendy fashion clothes. Besides, vintage fashion can save you a lot of money if you do it right. Here we present five of the best tips going for getting the most our of your quest for quality vintage gear:

#1 A woman's fashion vintage tip: Don't expect too much

Vintage is great, but you have to start out with realistic expectations. Those dreams of finding a trendy fashion designer suit for peanuts are unlikely to come true, if only because everyone else looking is hunting for the same sorts of things. A more realistic expectation is that you will find at least one thing you'll enjoy wearing for a great price ever time you go vintage shopping. Our experience is that this is entirely achievable.

#2 A woman's fashion vintage tip: Give yourself plenty of time

Shopping for vintage clothes can be a time-consuming process, because the clothes aren't laid out neatly and with plenty of room like in a regular store. In fact, often vintage clothes are crammed together on racks or shelves, and you'll need to sort through them yourself to find the gems. Also, vintage stores won't be all together in a row like new trendy fashion clothing stores in a mall, so it will take you time just to get between one vintage store and the next.

#3 A woman's fashion vintage tip: Learn the routines

Different thrift and vintage stores will receive deliveries of new (old) clothes on different days. Take the time to get to know the staff, and they'll happily let you know the best days and times to come in so that you have first pick of the new trendy fashion stock. These days there are often professional eBay traders combing thrift stores for designer pieces to resell, so you need to be quick!

#4 A woman's fashion vintage tip: Remember about alterations

If you find a great vintage piece in a vintage or thrift store, but it seems to be the wrong size or shape for you, don't forget that you can always have a tailor alter the piece to your specifications.. Tailors can't work miracles, but at long as what you find is well-made and not much too small for you, they can usually help turn your vintage finds into wearable trendy fashion for you.

#5 A woman's fashion vintage tip: Be accommodating and persistent

The best way to shop for vintage clothes is on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. This gives the thrift and vintage stores enough time to get in new stock to refresh their racks. Even then though, you're rarely going to find exactly what you what. So rather than go into vintage shopping with a clear idea of what you want to find, like you might when shopping for new items, just browse, and look out for what is beautiful and of quality. Also, be persistent – sometimes when you shop vintage you'll spend a fruitless hour, and walk away with nothing. This is all part of the game, so don't let it discourage you. The next great vintage find could be just around the corner.

A Woman’s Fashion: Trendy Fashion to Avoid!

Trendy fashion is a lot of fun. Without trendy fashion, we'd all be wearing the same things from one season to the next.

It would certainly save us a lot of money, but it would make fashion, and even life in general, pretty boring. So trends are a good thing, but that's not the whole story: sometimes fashion trends come along that are inexplicably awful. For some reason they catch on, and before you know it everyone is leaping on board with a new trend that just looks utterly hideous. Please, be one of the people who stands up to these trends and just says no. To help, we present here four trendy fashion trends that everyone should avoid:

#1 A woman’s fashion to avoid: Ugg boots, particularly in public and with shorts

As far as we're concerned, ugg boots have one purpose and one purpose alone: to keep your feet really warm by encasing them in wool. They're not a fashion item and they should never be treated as such. For some inexplicable reason, however, ugg boots have gained popularity in some circles as something you might wear outside on a warm day. We appreciate that trendy fashion isn't always logical, but this is going too far: pairing skimpy shorts with ultra warm foot wear just doesn't make any sense. Are you cold or are you hot? Make up your mind, and then dress appropriately.

#2 A woman’s fashion to avoid: Crocs when you're not on a boat

Ah, Crocs. Exactly how Crocs became popular is one of life's great unsolved mysteries. For sure, they have their uses. A pair of Crocs would be ideal on a boot, say, or when engaged in river activities like fishing or rafting. We even heard about a plan to provide them to needy people in Africa as durable footwear, which also sounds like a good idea. But wearing them out to brunch on a Sunday morning? It's awful. The bottom line is, they're really ugly, and will never be trendy fashion.

#3 A woman’s fashion to avoid: Metallic blue tights

If anyone is wondering whether or not they should buy or wear a pair of metallic blue tights, they should stop and ask themselves one simple question: am I a superhero? If 'no', put them down and walk away. We know that superheroes are hot right now, but that doesn't mean anyone should dress like one, even just from the waist down. This is a trendy fashion no-no!

#4 A woman’s fashion to avoid: Double denim: top and bottom

Everyone loves jeans. They've been around since the 1950s, they're cheap, cool, and durable. And they're made of denim. With that sort of background, it was only natural that people were going to start making and wearing denim jackets. But denim jackets are clearly a casual fashion item, and what does everyone wear on their bottom half on casual occasions? Why jeans, of course. So people started doubling their denim, and a trendy fashion trend was born. Well, in reality the trend was born when people started to argue that wearing all-denim was a good idea. Here is some news for those people: it's not a good idea. It never, ever, looks good. Yes, this means that your denim jacket will probably never get worn, but that's just too bad.

Fashion Trends for Spring/Summer 09

Knowing what to wear this summer couldn’t be easier, with a glance at forthcoming style from the spring/summer 09 collections, which include see-through and trouser trends.
Author: Andrew Regan

This summer, several key trends will be appearing on the beach, by the pool and after hours. While the seasonal forecasts have been around since 2008, you can now begin to get your hands on the trickle-down of styles and suggestions that were first seen on catwalks months ago. As with every season, you’ll find a range of stand-out trends from which high street fashion stores have either drawn directly or taken a subtle nod. This means you can either emulate the key trends effortlessly, or mix it up to get a flavour of what’s hot in amongst your own summer style. This summer’s style pack will undoubtedly be rocking the risqué sheer and see-through trend, which will keep you cool when it heats up. You can mix up the sheer trend with heavier fabrics too, for example, a sheer, floaty underskirt or dress, teamed with a chunky knit will not only keep you warm as the sun sets, but the combination of styles, fabrics and textures will look effortlessly chic. You’ll also want to pay attention to trousers, because they’re going to be big this summer. Making a fashion statement is easy in the trouser of the season and this spring/summer, the eastern influenced harem trouser is positively de rigueur. You can dress harem pants up or down as they’re perfect either for a lazy morning walk with flip flops, or with killer heels, chunky belt and loose fitting shirt for a night on the town with the girls or boys. Fringing is also going to be big this summer, which suits every cowgirl down to the ground. From suggestive leather thonging on oversized handbags, to fringed hems on trousers, skirts and even full-length fringing on dresses, ala Raf Simons at Jil Sander; Nicolas Ghesquière at Balenciaga and even Chanel are getting in on the action with the fringe benefits of this look. In terms of cutting, biased, asymmetry and one-shoulder dresses, tops and swimwear are everywhere. Channelling a Grecian vibe, single-shoulders are alluring and practical and are great for keeping cool when the weather is warm. Finally, to be en point with the key spring/summer women’s fashion trends this year, hit the shops hunting prints – the more vibrant and colourful, the better. Think clashing, outrageous eye-catching pops of colours and textures and you’ll be well on your way. John Galliano for Dior, Roberto Cavalli and Christopher Kane were all over this trend this season and so should you.

Katie Holmes: Fashion & Jewelry Icon

Gracing the cover of Glamour magazine on newsstands this month, Mrs. Tom Cruise has made a name for herself both on and off-screen. Katie's risk-taking wardrobe choices and mix and match approach to jewelry have made her one to watch. Katie is a romantic at heart, and it's reflected in her jewelry choices . She has no problem wearing a vintage bejeweled brooch as a hair accessory for a big awards show. She also loves diamonds and sparkles, though she knows what works and tends to shy away from oversized pieces, in favor of classic settings and stones. She wore an interlocking ring plus a candy colored amethyst lavender cocktail ring, piles of thin gold bangles and a gold watch to a recent photo shoot. Although most of us would have a hard time pulling off so many pieces of jewelry, Katie wore them well. For a movie premiere, Katie donned stunning sapphire stud earrings that dressed up an otherwise basic black ensemble. Though the choice wasn't exactly cutting-edge, sapphire earrings became an instant hit because she wore them so well. She rocked the same earrings during several casual public appearances. It just goes to show that when she finds something that works, she isn't afraid to wear it multiple times. Katie is a classic beauty, so it's only fitting that she knows that sometimes, less is more. For another recent photo shoot, she wore a pair of simple pearl stud earrings as an elegant and stylish compliment to a white collared shirt. We love that Katie would look chic and sassy in any type of jewelry , but she's not about all the latest fads. She sticks with chic and stylish necklaces, earrings and bracelets that are understated. When she does mix it up, she still manages to look as pulled together as the classic beauties of the 50s and 60s. Katie is one to watch.

There are lots of situations where you would prefer to look your best and the beach is definitely going to be on a lot of people's lists as we get into the Summer season. So, in the few weeks or maybe even months before you venture out onto the sand you may have been getting your body into shape. However, all your hard work may count for nothing if you don't have the right beachwear. There are a number of things to take into account, and you may want to consider having multiple outfits, or at least multiple items of beachwear to suit different situations. For example, if your day will consist mainly of lounging in the sun, then a knock out bikini will probably be the order of the day, but if you are planning on swimming, then maybe you could go with a one piece swimsuit. Maybe you would also go for the one piece suit if you don't want to get too much of your body out. There are more and more cutaway one piece swimsuits on the market now. Sometimes they are called monokinis, but they are designed to keep you looking stunning even if you are a bit shy about your body. Don't forget too, that sometimes, the temperature could drop unexpectedly as the clouds move in or the wind picks up and so a suitable coverup should also be on your list of essential beachwear fashion. The cover up is something that a lot of people forget about until the last minute and this should not be the case. You should put as much thought and effort into choosing a nice cover up as you would to choose your bikini or swimsuit. It should be casual enough to throw on at a moment's notice, which means it should be lightweight, not bulky. Look around for a nice Kaftan or casual dress. Don't forget that to finish off the look you will need suitable shoes for the beach as well as appropriate accessories. A nice pair of flip flops are always a winner for strolling along the sand, and for when you are taking lunch in a beach side restaurant, a nice pair of fashioable sandles will fit the occassion nicely along with a nice flowing skirt or sarong to make you feel more lady like and less exposed. Other accessories will finish things off nicely such as a nice pair of sunglasses, a hat and a nice bag to match your outfit. By the way, the choice of bag is important. Don't just go for any old bag you have lying around or the cheapest one you have found at a local market. The bag you carry helps to define you and so you may have two or three bags for different occassions or to match your outfit for that particular day or activity. So, remember, your beach attire is much more than just a bikini or a swimsuit. You need to consider your whole outfit to ensure you always look your best in every situation this Summer

Lingerie From Depravity To Fashion

Lingerie-- the word evokes frothy, frilly, erotic attire. But it wasn't always so. The term "lingerie" is derived from the French linge, or linen, and thus makes direct reference to the material from which underwear was traditionally made. By the late nineteenth century, lingerie had become a generic term commonly used to describe underwear that had moved beyond practical function to become a tool of erotic pleasure used for the display of the body. Lingerie was originally made for all sizes- including plus sizes.
Lingerie was supposed to only be used by women within the confines of a blissfully married life in the early years; with strict controls. One female journalist penned in 1902, "Lovely lingerie does not belong only to the fast. . . . dainty undergarments are not necessarily a sign of depravity." As time passed, lingerie's attractiveness to the general population increased along with decreasing adherence to Victorian morality, and the increasing social status of women. Lingerie was freedom from the practical and flagrantly straitlaced undergarments advocated by the Victorian era. For example, a doctor of that time period recommended wool as the perfect underwear for sanitation and wellbeing.
At first, lingerie was a sign of social status, handmade and afforded only by the very few. Of note were those fashioned by the English couturiere known as Lucile (Lady Duff-Gordon), who created camisoles, peignoirs, and petticoats using lace, chiffon, and crepe de chine, deliberately appealing to the sense of touch, and evoking a new eroticism for the twentieth-century woman. Although synthetic fibers such as rayon and nylon were developed and sold in the 1920s and 1930s as luxury fabrics through the use of the name "artificial silk" their development led to a democratization of lingerie.

WIKIPEDIA SAYS-Nylon is a thermoplastic silky material, first used commercially in a nylon-bristled toothbrush (1938), followed more famously by women's "nylons" stockings (1940). It is made of repeating units linked by peptide bonds (another name for amide bonds) and is frequently referred to as polyamide (PA). Nylon was the first commercially successful polymer and the first synthetic fiber to be made entirely from coal, water and air.

The more body-conscious fashions of that decade also led to a new item of lingerie, the teddy, named after its inventor Theodore Baer, who combined a chemise with a short slip or attached panties. The camisole, originally derived from a decorative waist-length garment with an embroidered front and shoulder bands that were worn over the corset for warmth and modesty, became a essential piece of lingerie, later transforming into an item of outerwear by the 1970s. Similarly the slip, a standard piece of lingerie from the 1950s was used by a number of fashion designers as outerwear in the 1990s, most notably John Galliano, Dolce & Gabbana.

Pajamas, designed after the loose pants worn in Asia, gained popularity as female attire in the late nineteenth century, but long nightgowns remained popular, even after women's skirts shortened in the early twentieth century. By the twenties, straight-cut silk and rayon nightgowns in delicate colors such as orchid, rose and snow were popular, while the mid-century favored gowns with strappy tight fitting tops over flowing skirts. Mixtures and superimpositions make lingerie an item of clothing in itself, so that fusion costumes like chemise jackets and wide legged pants make up an unexpected wardrobe. During the twentieth century, glamorous and lavish lingerie grew ever more available and affordable.

Today there is a continuance of the lingerie revitalization started in the 1990s, with both male and female consumers. Lingerie's status as an appealing, emphatically visible component of a woman's outfit has kept sales on an upward trend. It seems that visible lingerie has become a strong style. Redefined lingerie is a reasonably priced luxury item with a powerful appeal for the style conscious plus size consumer.

Choosing Your Shoe Fashion Style

Shoe fashion is a mode of expressing yourself through footwear. Shoes often represent a particular style or era and every year footwear designers try to add and create new trends that can represent the present time of the year and hopefully make a mark in history forever.

There are many shoe styles through, which we recollect a period of time. Those styles still live because they were extremely successful and often in a classic way which always was and will be eternal.

There are many of us who want to wear shoes that are in fashion at any cost; not only in the present year but every single season: spring, summer, fall and winter. However, there is one thing we do not stop to consider: does the shoe style suit us?

How do you know if a footwear style fits you well? Everything in fashion is picked to match and put our best features forward and in order for you to put yours, you need to be aware of your foot shape and leg shape.

Your height and weight will determine whether you should choose shoe style that will emphasize a feature in your body, mainly your legs. For example, shoes with higher heels are always flattering and elongate the leg - perfect for those with short legs. But if you are tall, perhaps you want to de-emphasize your legs. If you are very thin, you might not want to wear the fashionable big chunky shoe styles which might end up looking like bricks dangling of the bottom of your very thin legs.

Also remember, if you wear uncomfortable shoes, others will know! How fashionable can you look when your shoes are hurting your feet and you are limping. Or if your shoes are too looses and your feet are coming out of them! Yes, comfort has to be part of your shoe fashion style because style encompasses your entire body - including what your face is expressing. So pick stylish shoes that are also comfortable for you to wear.

It is important you be your own critic and friend in order to be able to choose the best shoe styles that will put your best foot forward and thus, give you your moneys worth. What good does it do to wear footwear that is the latest fashion but does not suit your style and personality?

Shoes should only be picked because you look good in them and not because they are the latest rave. Also always remember, if you cannot wear the latest shoe design because you find them to be ridiculous, you can always wear something classic as it is always in style and it suits everyone without exception. If you do not know what color shoes to buy or wear for an important fashion meeting, always stick with black as they are classic and always in style! When you want to get a little bolder, try a brighter color like red. Why not try to make sneakers fashionable? Instead of the traditional white, sport a pair of red or metallic color sneakers. Style is not only for dress and casual shoes by any means!

In conclusion, here are some tips to make sure you choose the right shoe fashion style: make sure your fashion is comfortable, think about your body features and how your shoes might accentuate them and make a statement with color. Finally, when in doubt wear black!
