Choosing a bikini for your body shape

Author: Catherine Dunn Finding the right bikini for your body is an annual ordeal. You can nearly always guarantee that if the bottoms fit, the top will be too small, and if the top fits, the bottoms will make your backside look massive. I've got some top tips for you on choosing the right swimwear to flatter your body shape.
Pear shaped
The pear shape is said to be British women's most common body type and it just means you have a larger bottom half than top half. It doesn't sound a very flattering shape, but actually it just means you are more voluptuous on the bottom half and as a plus you probably have a lovely flat stomach too! If you want to draw attention away from your bottom half, a great way to do this is by wearing a pretty and detailed bikini top to draw attention to your bust. By maximising your bust it'll be easy for you to look sexy and voluptuous in your bikini! Try to avoid bandeau styles as these will only minimise your curves. Bikini bottoms that cut across the widest part of your hips will look the most flattering on you. Choose bikini bottoms with side ties so you can adjust them to the most flattering position for you, but keep away from boy shorts as these will make your hips look bigger. Always make sure the bottom half of your bikini fits well, as there's nothing guaranteed to make you look bigger than ill-fitting or too tight bikini bottoms.
Apple shaped
If you're a classic apple shape, then you probably have a less well defined waist and smaller hips. Actually it's not that you don't have a small waist, it's just that you have such slim hips! On the bonus side you probably have a great bust and lovely long legs too! So focus on these and create the illusion of curves by picking bikinis with string ties, ruffles, belt, or pretty bow details. Try to steer clear of too small a bikini bottom as these won't flatter your shape, instead go for bikini bottoms with high cut legs that lengthen your legs and draw attention away from your waist. Sexy boy shorts would also work well on you. Avoid halter necks because these will just lengthen your top half, also steer clear of horizontal stripes as these will just draw attention back to your waist. If you feel you need to cover up your tummy chose a tankini or swimsuit in a nice simple style and a pretty pattern.
Hourglass
If you're lucky enough to have an hourglass figure then you can flaunt it in just about any style and that includes even the teeniest of bikinis! Sexy high cut bikini bottoms will look good on you and will make your legs look long. Just make sure you don't squeeze those curves into too small a bikini because you don't want any wardrobe malfunctions on the beach!
Slim or atheletic
A slim or atheletic figure may lack some of the curves of an hourglass, but as a bonus you'll have a slim waist and a slight figure - lucky you! Bikini tops with ruffles or pretty prints will look flattering on you. A halter neck is also a good look as it'll help to accentuate your bust, you could also try bikini tops with extra padding for maximum effect! You'll look great in boy shorts and bikinis with tie sides which will help to give you a curvier look. Try to avoid boring mono block swimsuits as these will be the least flattering for you - pretty pattern and lots of feminine detail are the key for you!
Top tips for looking good on the beach!
The following are not strictly body types, but they're probably amongst the biggest issues we women face when picking the right bikini or swimwear, so we've given them their very own sections!
Big bust
If this is you and you're lucky enough to be a curvy lady, then a good choice for a larger bust is a halter neck bikini because they can give you good support as well as a sexy cleavage! It's probably best to avoid strapless bandeau styles as they won't give you much support and can look unflattering. Likewise bikinis with tiny tops are best avoided as they won't provide you with enough coverage and you could well find yourself popping out all over! If you have real problems finding bikinis to fit both your top and bottom halves, then trying buying them separately so you can mix and match sizes. If support is a problem for you, then look out for underwired bikini tops or tank top bikinis with wide straps which will give you that all important extra support.
Small bust
Ladies with smaller busts are lucky because they can wear lots of different styles, including bandeau styles which only really look amazing on you! Make sure you check out bikinis with ruffles and tiny tri top bikinis because only you can wear these well! Go for bright colours on the beach this summer, and check out the Brazilian style bikinis which generally have smaller tops making them perfect for you. For extra impact, try bikinis with padding. It's always a good idea to choose a bikini that has adjustable straps to ensure a good fit because loose bikini tops are definitely not a flattering look.
Now for the rest!
If there are any specific bits and pieces you want to conceal or hide, take a look at our checklist below on how to deal with the most common body shape issues: Short legs - pick a bikini bottom or swimsuit cut high on the leg as these will help make your legs look longer. It's probably best to avoid boy shorts and bikinis with skirts as these will just draw attention down making your legs look shorter. Short body - again, you'll find a high cut leg is flattering and will help to elongate your legs. Also wearing a bikini that has a patterned top and solid colour bottoms can help to lengthen the body. Try to avoid boy shorts and bikinis with skirts because by drawing attention down these will only make you look shorter. Long body - you've got the opposite problem here! You're probably a complete clothes horse and everything looks great on you. In fact bikinis were made for you because they'll help to break up your long body. You can wear bikinis with lots of lovely detail at the bust and hip, plus boy shorts will also look good on you. Just try to avoid swimsuits with vertical sripes or in dark mono block colours as these will make your body look longer. Instead go for horizontal stripes or some lovely bright summer colours. Bandeau bikini tops can also help by giving width to your bust Big bottom - if you want to minimise your bottom it's best to avoid boy shorts, very skimpy bottoms, or anything with too many ruffles or detail, as these will just draw attention to this area. Instead try a bigger bikini bottom in a solid colour with a full side as ties will just emphasise this area. If you're really conscious of your bottom you might want to consider a bikini with a little skirt. But you can also draw attention away from your bottom half with a pretty detailed bikini top - ruffles are good here, in fact anything that emphasises your top half will help to draw attention away from your bottom. No waist - like the apple shape which we talked about earlier, it's not that you don't have a waist, just that your slim hips draw attention away from it. But you can create the illusion of curves with a bikini that has ruffles, bows or detail at the hips. If you have a small bust, a strapless bandeau bikini top will also look good on you. Just try to avoid swimsuits in a solid colour or with horizontal stripes as these will be the least flattering for you. Big thighs - you can draw attention away from your legs by emphasising your top half, or by wearing high legged bikinis. A bikini bottom with the string tied high on the leg will look very flattering on you! Wide shoulders - the key to looking good for you is to balance out your body, so you want to emphasise your bottom half. Avoid plunging necklines and teeny tiny bikini bottoms because these will not be flattering to your body shape and will emphasise your shoulders. Instead opt for bikini bottoms in bright colours, bold prints, and with ties or details at the hip as these will draw attention to your bottom half and help to balance out your shoulders. Short waist - lengthen your body with bikini bottoms that have a low waist or are low rise. Also bikini bottoms with a belt at the hips will look good on you.
Last but not least!
Just remember to find the perfect bikini or swimsuit before you go on your hols. Prices at holiday destinations can be very high and sizes can vary widely to UK sizes. Plus you don't want to waste any of your precious holiday time hunting down the perfect bikini - so make sure you take it with you!

Picking a Cocktail Dress for a Social Event

Author: Tammy Ussery-Bakhtiari

A blue and white envelope just arrived in your mailbox. Inside is an invitation to your friend's house warming party next week. She is going to have wine, cheese, hor dours, and entertainment. It's going to be a dazzling event and you know you should dress up, but you have no idea what to wear. Deciding what to wear to any social event can be overwhelming, especially when you have party favors, decorating, and baking to worry about--in addition to your day-to-day work. Fortunately, an attractive cocktail dress is suitable for many occasions. If you are looking for versatility, the little black dress is a classic. It's attractive, simple, and stylish. You can wear it to almost any evening occasion, and you can personalize it with high heels, jewelry, and a handbag. And the little black dress can be quite attractive--just think about Julia Roberts in “Pretty Woman,” wear she wears a black cocktail dress with lace trim. When you are shopping in search of the perfect little black dress, pay attention to the small details (below): What to Look for in a Little Black Dress : - Length. The dress should hit at the thinnest part of your leg above the knee. - Cut. Make sure the dress flatters your body type. The dress should accentuate a woman's curves and waist, but never ever be too tight. - Fabric. Jersey fabric is comfortable and stretchy, but it may not hold its shape. Invest in a dress with a soft, flattering fabric such as silk or satin. If you prefer new, trendy styles, try an updated version of the little black dress with a modern touch. The Little, Black Dress with a Modern Touch : - Sleeve length: Try a sexy strapless dress. Or, try a dress with long sleeves for the winter-time. - Tights: Wear patterned tights. Or, wear opaque tights, which are very trendy right now. Note: Opaque tights may dress down an outfit. - V-shape: Try on dresses with a plunging V in the front to accentuate your attributes. Also, V-shaped backs can be very sexy and sophisticated. - Lace: A black dress with lace can be very attractive and elegant. If the dress is very detailed, keep your accessories limited and wear classic makeup (red lipstick, mascara, and eye-liner). Cocktail Dresses: If you want to avoid black altogether, try on cocktail dresses! Cocktail dresses can be silver, plumb, gold, cream, etcetera. Wearing a stylish, colorful evening dress will make you more memorable, and it is much more festive than black. For the wintertime, try on dresses that are dark red, dark blue, ruby, gold, purple, or emerald green. Choosing a Cocktail Dress : To choose a unique, sexy cocktail dress , get an idea of what kinds of dresses exist. A simple online search works well. Consider dresses with lace, patterns, sequins, and satin. One-sleeved dresses and metallic are also popular, so don't shy away from them, Also, look for rich fabrics such as velvet and silk. If you are unsure what kinds of social events and special occasions call for a cocktail dress, use the suggested guidelines below: Occasions where a cocktail dress is recommended : - Cruise ships - Work-related parties (make sure the dress is knee-length and not too short) - Semi-formal - New Years - Anniversary parties - Holiday parties - Charity events - Dinner at an expensive restaurant Occasions where a cocktail dress may be worn : - Prom (cocktail dress designers make great, flirty 2009 prom dresses ) - Class reunions - Evening weddings - Dinner parties (ask the host in advance) - Evenings out (to the theater, the ballet, or the Opera. Note: different parts of the - United States are more formal or more casual than others) Events where a cocktail dresses is not recommended : - Business dinners (know your company's culture) - Job interviews - White Tie events - Quinceanera events (cocktail dresses are different than Quinceanera dresses ) Now you can take a breath, relax, and look forward to your next social event. 7 Pearl Jewelry Terms You Must Know

Author: Pearl Classic

When shopping for pearl jewelry , whether online or in a jewelry store, you are going to see and hear some industry terms that you may not be that familiar with. You’ll be told that the nacre of this pearl is thick, it’s luster is excellent, it’s surface is clean and that is why it retails for $999. The only thing you might recognize from that description is the price! So educating yourself on the terminology used to describe pearl jewelry before you begin shopping will allow you to accurately compare pearls from one another, understand their value, and can lead you to making a very good purchase on quality pearls. You may even end up saving a few dollars just by knowing a few terms! Cultured vs Natural Let’s start with knowing the difference between Cultured Pearls and Natural Pearls. While both are real pearls, the way they are created is what sets them apart. Cultured pearls are harvested on pearl farms in controlled conditions. With the assistance of pearl farmers, they insert an object into the mollusk to jump start the creation of the pearl. The end result is still an authentic pearl that carries the same properties as a natural pearl. Natural pearls by contrast are those found in their natural environment. They are pearls that have been stumbled upon by chance. Therefore, natural pearl jewelry may carry a heavier price tag than cultured pearl jewelry because of the unique, natural quality they have. Cultured pearls tend to be more affordable because of their ability to be mass produced. However, each is still very similar in their qualities and authenticity. Shape As you study the pearls that interest you, pay close attention to the shape of the pearl. The closer each pearl is to a perfect sphere or being perfectly round, the higher in value the jewelry will be. Round pearls are pretty rare to come across and only account for a small percentage of the pearls coming out of pearl farms. From there, you will see the term Near-round to describe pearls that are not quite perfectly round, but close to it. Oval pearls look just as they sound. Button style pearls are pearls that appear to be thinner, or squashed by comparison. Drop pearls have the appearance of a tear drop. Lastly are Baroque pearls. These pearls are irregular in shape and are non-symmetrical as well. In fact, the actual shapes of a baroque pearl can range from simply being semi-round to stick or cross shaped. Many times however, a strand of baroque pearls will be similar to each other thus creating a uniform strand. Incidentally, Tahitian and South Sea baroque pearls are also very unique as the process to create them takes much longer. Therefore, their value may be considered greater. Nacre / Mother-of-Pearl Nacre, or mother-of-pearl, is a secretion of calcium carbonate and conchiolin that a mollusk will release to cover an object such as a grain of sand that has entered the mollusk. This object acts as an irritant and triggers the secretion to begin. Layers and layers of nacre will build around this object and leads to the production of a pearl. In fact, a real pearl can be identified by its layers of nacre present. The thicker the nacre, the higher quality and more durable your pearl is against nicks, scratches and overall wear and tear. Luster Luster is a term used to describe a pearls ability to reflect light. The more translucent each layer of the pearl, the greater its ability to reflect light. You can visually determine a pearls luster by its ability to show your reflection or have shine to it. If the pearl is dull or really doesn’t have a reflection, then it is considered to be poor in quality. Surface A pearls surface can be described as clean, blemished or marked. The surface is basically how you see the pearl. Looking at it, do you see any marks or discolorations in its coating or color? If you do, these are the pearls blemishes or marks. If a pearl does not appear to have any, then it is described as clean. A pearl with a clean surface is considered to have a higher value than a pearl with a blemished surface. If you have your eyes set on a strand of clean pearls, be sure that the strand is uniform and that each pearl has a clean surface. While blemished pearls are considered to be lesser in value, they are still considered to be of good quality. Pearls whose surface is so poor generally do not make it to the jewelry stage. Color Colors of pearls vary from bright whites to rich shades of black. The color of the pearl will depend on the types of pearls you are looking at. For instance Akoya pearls generally come in whites with cream or pink overtones. Tahitian pearls on the other hand are most likely black or shades of gray. South Sea pearls meanwhile are generally associated with golden pearls. The color of pearls really doesn’t affect the pricing of it. However you will want to be sure that all of the other quality factors still apply to the pearls you are considering. Your choice of colored pearls should be chosen carefully to compliment your skin tone. As a rule of thumb, people with tan or darker skin tones tend to find darker pearls or pearls with cream overtones to compliment their skin best. Women with lighter, fairer skin will find that pearls with pink or rose overtones work well. Grades With so many terms used to describe pearl jewelry, it’s not a wonder we felt the need to write this article! However, all of these characteristics can be combined and defined with a simple grade. Yes, pearls receive grades based upon their quality. There are three grades that can be assigned to a pearl ranging from A to AAA. A pearl with a grade of AAA means these pearls are of the highest quality and greatest value. It means all of the characteristics listed out above are of the best conditioning. You can expect these types of pearls to be higher in price. Pearl jewelry given a grade of AA is your middle of the road pearl. The pearls generally will be round or near-round shape and may have slight blemishes here and there. These and the rest of the qualities will either be considered of high quality or slightly below. Lastly, pearl jewelry given an A generally means you’ll find a few more blemishes, a lower luster quality, and either a near round or semi-round shape. It is important to note that pearls with a lower grade do not necessarily mean they are not worth the investment. They are still quality, authentic pearls that have been matched with each other to create a uniform, cohesive set of pearl jewelry. Perhaps you may not be able to remember all of the terminology, but knowing the significance of a pearls grade will ensure you will be able to select a quality piece of jewelry that is worth the asking price. Now you hopefully will be able to go into a jewelry shop, online or off, and will have a clear advantage to make a smart purchasing decision. Couple this information with knowing the different types of pearls available and you will be all set!

Short Hairstyles for Thin Hair

Author: Tim Faber

First, let’s have a quick definition of what having fine or thin hair really means. Basically, the ‘fine’ in the phrase refers to the diameter of each individual hair strand. This means that you can have fine hair which looks thick because the strands are packed more into each square inch of your scalp.
Or, you can have fine hair which looks really thin because the hair strands themselves are already thin in the first place – and they are sparsely populated within each square inch in the scalp. So depending on whether you have thin, fine hair or thick, fine hair, the best way to have a head start in choosing the short hair styles for fine hair that will suit you best would be with your hair cut.
Always consult your stylist and tell them the look that you would like to achieve, starting from maybe the length of hair that you would like to have. Take Your Pick from these Short Hair Styles for Fine Hair Now, if like the convenience of having short, fine hair that is pretty much low maintenance, here are the short hair styles that you can choose from:
Feather Cut for Short, Fine Hair - To achieve this short hair style for fine hair, your locks will be cropped in such a way that the ends will feather on the face lightly. You can best style this cut using a forward motion with a blow dryer, after which you can add some mousse to the crown and finish the do using a styling brush.
The Pixie Cut - There are two short hairstyles for thin hair that you can use if you have a pixie cut. For a more sophisticated look, you can use a paddle brush to create smooth lines and put your hair close to your skull. On the other hand, you can also use a styling mousse and create a sexy, just-out-of-bed look with your pixie hair cut.
The Bob - The best way to add some volume to thin, fine hair is to go for a bob cut. It can either be the straight bob that singer Rihanna used to wear, or a slightly layered bob that will add texture to your locks. These two short hair styles for fine hair will add the much-needed volume to your hair.
Naturally Curly - Let’s say that you have natural black hair. The easiest way to wear your hair without having to spend too much time in the salon is by styling it in a natural, curly and short hair style. Again, you can go for the rumpled, just out of bed look by styling your curly hair this way and that. Or, you can go for a more romantic, feminine look by taming your locks into a more severe style.
Straight with Layers - Finally, you can add some texture and volume to your fine hair by having it cut in a straight, layered style. No matter which of these short hair styles for fine hair it is that you end up choosing, what’s important is for you to choose one which will make you feel and look your best – so go ahead and try which one will make you feel like the true glam diva that you really are!

Four Things your Wedding Shoes Must Have

Author: Walter Roberts

Because you want your wedding to be perfect in every way, it is important to pay close attention to your choice in wedding shoes. Though seemingly one of the little things about your wedding, less worrisome than say the cake or where to seat everyone, wedding shoes are just as important for many different reasons. Think of everything you will be doing in these shoes. You will do things like:

• Dance
• Walk Down The Aisle
• Take Photographs
• Greet Attendees
• Cut your Cake

With everything you have to do in your wedding shoes, it is extremely important that you take great care in choosing the right shoes. Therefore, here are four things that your wedding shoes must have.

Comfort

If your wedding shoes are not comfortable, you will find that spending that many hours in them and doing all the things you must do at your wedding to be unbearable. While looks are important as well, comfort should be at the top of your list of things you wedding shoes must have. Try them on, walk around the store, could you see yourself spending hours in these particular shoes?

Heel Height

The height of the heel on your wedding shoes makes all the difference in the world. In most cases, your shoe type should be picked out before you even have your wedding dress fitted. This is because the dress is fitted around the shoes. Stilettos are often the highest pair of heels you can get, if you do not wear these often, it is best to go with ballet slipper, kitten heels, or platform shoes. It is not a wise idea to choose stilettos if you are not used to wearing them.

Fabric Type

You do not have to go with the traditional fabric of wedding shoes, such as satin or silk. Your wedding shoes can be of any fabric you would like. However, make sure that you have the wedding shoes done, if they have to be customized, before the dress fitting.

Style

Your wedding shoes must portray your style. Not only your personal style, but also the style of the wedding itself and your wedding dress. You do not have to conform to tradition; it is after all your wedding. Make sure your wedding shoes fit your style in every way. Remember, it is your day.

You Must Try Them On

It is not good to buy a pair of wedding shoes without trying them on. What happens if that style does not fit right? What if you are not comfortable in these shoes? Then you will have to start all over again. It is best to try on your wedding shoes in the exact same environment as your wedding will be. For example, because you will be on your feet during the day of your wedding, it is best to try on your shoes after being on your feet all day.

The more you are on your feet, the larger your feet become due to swelling, so this is when you should try on your wedding shoes. Furthermore, if you are wearing hose or stockings during your wedding, these should be worn when trying on the shoes as well.

Tips for Shopping for Sandals

Author: Lee Judkins There are many reasons to buy sandals. Sandals are generally comfortable to wear, are easy to manage (you can usually just put them on and go), promote foot health, and can add fun and excitement to your outfit. Unless someone does the shopping for you (not a good idea), there is no getting around shopping for sandals. The tips listed below can help make the activity as productive as possible, so that you end up with a pair of sandals that are just perfect for you. The Basics You shouldn't consider shopping for sandals a mindless activity that requires no forethought. You are going to spend your hard-earned money, so it is only fitting that you put some thought in shopping for sandals. The following are the very least you should do when shopping for sandals:
-Schedule sufficient time. Plan to spend some quality time looking for sandals. Rushing through the selection process can result in you ending up with a pair of sandals that will not provide you the most benefit and use.

-Shop in the afternoon. Our feet swell as the day progresses, so for the best fit you shouldn't try on sandals before noon.
-Browse several different styles. It is always a good idea to try on several pair of sandals, even if you fall in love with the first pair.
-Try before you buy. Make sure you actually try on sandals before you buy them. Shoes tend to look different on your feet than when they are on the shelf.

-Get approval from your doctor, if necessary. People with certain health conditions, such as diabetes, have special concerns for their feet and should obtain approval from their health care practitioner before buying sandals. The doctor may also recommend a specific type of sandal.
Shop for Use While you are having fun browsing through the different styles, keep how you plan to use the sandals in mind. This is especially true if you want to wear multi-purpose sandals. Sandals are designed with various distinguishing characteristics. Some high heel dress sandals are suitable for minimal walking. Many beach sandals, such as flip flops, offer very little ankle support. Sport sandals tend to have more support features. Realizing these differences can help you determine what style will work best for you. When considering where you are planning to wear the sandals, color is also a factor to think about. For example, if you are planning to buy a single pair of sandals, you probably should choose a neutral shade. Sandals in shades of brown, black, and navy tend to go with a wider selection of colors.
Don't Forget Comfort
With all the appealing styles available, it's easy to be drawn to sandals that are most attractive on your feet. While good looks are important in a sandal, you should not neglect to consider the level of comfort. The sole of the sandal is important because it offers the main support for your foot. It is recommended that the sole of your sandal is wider than your foot. Birkenstock sandals are designed with a thicker sole and are just brand of sandals that offer significant comfort features.

History of the T-shirt

Author: T-Shirt Magazine

Who started wearing t-shirts and how did they become so cool? It all started in the early 1900s durring WWI. U.S. soldiers realized the Europeans had comfortable looking cotton shirts on and they figured those must be much better than the wool uniforms they were wearing. Next thing you know cotton shirts shaped like the letter T emerged into the battlefield. Another claim is that t-shirts were first worn by U.S. Navy sailors out on sea. It's no surprise that there are various claims of the t-shirt's origin. Either way, t-shirts were originally just worn as undershirts and weren't considered fashionable at all. They were even specially produced for a college football team to be used as sweat absorbers. Most would agree that the shirts were given the name t-shirt because of their shape, but even in this case there are other claims. Some claim they were refered to as "training shirts" as they were worn by training soldiers. Another crazy claim is that tee is short for "amputee" refering to the short sleeves. It's crazy how all of these claims kind of make sense but no one knows the definite truth. One thing's for sure; for a while t-shirts were worn as undershirts and for the specific purpose of staying cool. Funny thing is, it was actually considered shocking to see someone wearing a t-shirt as an overshirt. It was unacceptable to society and the equivalent of walking down the block with nothing but boxers on. Not until after WWII did people begin to accept the t-shirt completely, as t-shirts were used durring presidential campaigns. The t-shirt didn't become so popular until it was worn by pop culture figures like James Dean and Marlon Brando on the big screen. It all of a sudden became a status symbol and everybody wanted to be like these guys. Soon enough people started making t-shirts with all types of designs and images on them, and the assortment ranged from tourist tees to popular cartoon character tees. The popularity of the t-shirt continued to soar as famous rock bands and other celebs wore them normally. Some trends like tye dying emerged in the 1960s, followed by a more current and ongoing trend of message t-shirts, which started in the UK in the late 80s, and the more recent all over prints. Some t-shirts even have LED lights integrated into them. Now the t-shirt is one of the most common articles of clothing, and arguably the most worn garment in the world. Thousands of t-shirts are created each day, thanks to today's technology, and a t-shirt lover or entrepreneur is born every minute. The t-shirt's rise to fame will continue for ages, eventually making it the undisputed best apparel product of all time.

Airbrush Makeup Mechanism

Author: dinair

To look beautiful is the dream of every woman because women love to be praised. Why shouldn’t she dream?? It’s her right, every person has some elements of beauty which needs to be polished and groomed.
Makeup plays very important role in the beauty of a woman. Beauty and Makeup serve to one another. They form the most integral bond together. You can become beautiful by applying the right makeup. Makeup application in itself is an art which can be conquered easily.
What you need is the right source of information for makeup and beauty tips. So first thing here needs to be addressed is selection of appropriate makeup technique – whether we need to still rely on old traditional makeup techniques or we should move to new emerging makeup techniques which celebrities and models use?
Now there is another choice when it comes to airbrushing makeup. What is that? Airbrush makeup is a great alternative to regular make up. Airbrush Makeup leaves the skin looking flawless and silky smooth and has long lasting staying power. There are special foundations especially designed for airbrush application. Applying airbrush makeup requires the use of certain tools to get that look you desire. Foundations, blush and eyes shadow can all be used when applying make up using the airbrush method.
Traditionally, the makeup sponge and brush sufficed for applications of makeup. Now, the airbrush has indeed become a highly appealing application for the specialized makeup artist. Contact free application of makeup with the almost imperceptible medium of air - along with the significant benefits that this method brings - have helped lead to a rapidly growing interest in this technique.
Experience is the best teacher, and those that have been around the longest will have perfected their manufacturing process. Dinair has been around since 1981 and they have specialized in airbrush makeup ever since. They became the best by focusing on one thing: Being the best manufacturer of airbrush makeup, and airbrush compressors.
A professional makeup artist will want a larger compressor that won’t over heat due to prolonged use. It has more power which is great when doing several people because you have the option of adding a second airbrush. Airbrushing foundation can be done in as little as 5 minutes and it looks flawless. Spending time with the system I discovered the secrets that airbrushing holds.
The airbrush gun takes the tiniest, most fragile foundation molecule and oxidizes it into a high opacity. In other words, one can wear the sheerest of sheer foundations and have virtually perfect skin. When I took the airbrush foundation and tried to apply it by traditional methods (a sponge and my finger tips) it was too watery to work with. Yet the same foundation passed through the air system takes on a new characteristic and a strength that I have not seen in the twenty-six years I've been painting faces.
When the average person hears the word airbrush, we think of a car being painted, or the final stages of prints for magazines that are finessed into perfection. Today, these processes are accomplished digitally. The model's print (who already happens to be stunningly gorgeous) is color corrected, her teeth are made whiter, her pupils enhanced, her lashes made thicker, her skin tweaked to perfection, her legs thinned out and elongated.
It's quite an artificial process and it leads me to the conclusion that I … or any farm animal in Bruce County, for that matter… could probably model for Vogue. However, what would you say if some of these adjustments could be made on your face instead of on your picture? I said prove it!

Making Your Clothes Look Good and Last Longer

Author: Ron Maier

The cost of quality clothes has gone up and with the economy as it is, we all want to make sure we protect our clothes – after all, they are an investment. So what does it take to properly care for your clothing and ensure its longevity? To start, learning how to wash your clothes properly is important. Remember to read the care labels of your clothes before even doing laundry, some clothes cannot be washed but can only be dry-cleaned. For those articles of clothing that can be washed, some are not recommended for the dryer, but rather need to be washed with cold water, or not go in the washing machine at all. Now, separate the colored clothes from the whites, this way your colored clothes don’t bleed into your whites. When setting the machine at respective temperatures, you're better off choosing warm water to wash the clothes, cold to rinse. Using hot water to wash clothes is not only more expensive, but it should not be used to wash cotton clothing. Next of course you follow all the washing rules regarding load size and amount of detergent. But another tip to help keep your clothes that have color lasting longer is to turn them inside out. Once your clothes are washed, now to store them. Most articles of clothing are best when hung up properly in your closet. What does it mean to hang them properly? To start, make sure your closets aren't overcrowded. If your closet is jammed full, hanging your clothes may make them wrinkleier. Second, there are some things that should never be hung up. One of these items is a sweater. Sweaters will sag and get pulled out of shape when put on a typical hanger. If you really want to preserve your sweaters look, fold it with a sheet of tissue paper laid inside. This will help keep them from wrinkling. If you are pressed for space, sweaters can be folded lengthwise and hung on a wooden hanger. Place a sheet of tissue paper between the bar and the sweater to prevent creases. When it comes to hanging up shirts, there is only one rule to remember and that is do not use wire hangers. Wire hangers are the enemy of all clothing. If you have had your clothes dry-cleaned, as soon as it is returned, make sure to immediately remove it from the hanger. The hangers can be collected and returned to your cleaners to be used again. A proper hanger should be curved to follow the slope of your shoulder. Once on the hanger, button the second button from the top so it retains its shape while on the hanger. Now for other rules of hanging clothes. Be sure to read the requirements on your clothing to find out if it should be hung in a particular way. Every outfit has special requirements. For hanging blazers, leather jackets etc, you should look out for heavy wooden or plastic clothes folding hangers, that can give your ensemble that extra support to carry off their weight. Pants demand a proper folding style, which is placing both the legs parallel one on the top of the other. While hanging them ensure that there is enough space between different trousers in the cupboard. Right folding of clothes is as important as proper hanging. There is a proper folding style that will help your clothes help retain the luster and crispness of the cloth and the hassles of ironing every time is reduced because of no or less wrinkle development. Knitwear, including tops, pants, skirts, and dresses, should usually be folded. Casual pants and shorts made from rugged materials, such as jeans, khakis, and corduroys, also can be folded. And you should fold long evening dresses; particularly those weighted with ornamentation, because hanging can distort their shape. Practicing these simple steps will help you protect your clothing investment while maintaining your clothes neat and tidy look each time you are ready to wear them.

They are an important tool simply because a handbag accentuates the user's personality. Apart from these handbags used as a fashion accessory they are also commonly used as a status symbol by many ladies.

The shiny and cheap quality material made handbags must be avoided without a doubt as they are not long-lasting. Similarly the zips and other items must be colored in accordance with the color of hand bag.

Buying from authorized dealers usually saves a lot of trouble as they most of the time comes with a warranty.

The quality of material used in the handbags can be checked simply by placing it on a smooth surface. a good quality material neither sags nor collapses under its weight and this firmness can be used to check its quality.

Stitching of the hand bag should also be considered and checked carefully as improper stitching would destroy the shape of the bag.

Women’S Shoes – Why They Are Never Enough?

Author: Karunakar All talks on equality between men and women come to a halt when it comes to women’s shoes. There seems to be some sort of intrinsic magnetic attraction between a woman and shoes. Perhaps it’s the reason why most women find an irresistible urge to buy that enticing pair of shoes in the display window without considering the price, consequences or outfit she’ll wear with them. The urge to buy fashionable shoes is so strong in women, that many don’t even care if they need the shoes or not and whether they are in their budget. They simply find ultimate solace in buying the most fashionable and trendiest pair of shoes in town! 'I see a pair of shoes I adore, and it doesn't matter if they have them in my size. I buy them anyway,' Hollywood actress Keira Knightley once said. Introduction on womens shoes Women’s shoes have progressed form being merely practical and protective coverings for the feet to creative and artistic interpretations of fashions, cultures and styles. A woman’s shoes also denote the class she belongs to, her attitude, her mood for the day and in a very subtle manner, they convey sexual messages to members of the opposite sex. With so much emphasis on shoes and such an intense bond between a woman and her heels, it’s only expected that no shop is passed without being scanned or any websites are left without being trawled by most women, with a similar and unspoken aim of buying the most fashionable and perfect pair of shoes or high heels possible. How women’s shoes fashion/style has changed over the years: The first shoes ever made have been dated back to about 40,000 years ago according to historians. Of course we can safely assume they didn’t look anything like the heels you saw on the high street last week, but they were shoes none the less. 40 000 years ago, shoes were merely a means of protection for the foot and were completely practical. By the middle Ages, the look and the feel of the shoes improved (according to our perception of what good shoes look like) and they were made with more care and designed to fit the foot more comfortably. Technological advancements of the 20th century led to the development of better shoes in general and more aesthetic women’s shoes, in particular. A mix of cultures and a global trend of sharing styles and designs began which led to the onset of shoe fashion and the shoe industry. A significant reason for the change in style of women’s shoes over the years is the gradual transformation in the purpose of wearing shoes. Changes in the social, cultural and economic milieu of the society and civilization has led to the steady change in the purpose of being well-shod from just protection, to functionality and practicality, to mix of style and sensibility, to style statement, sex appeal and simply shock value as depicted in celebrity women’s shoes today. Types of women shoes: There is a huge variety of tremendously beautiful women’s shoes in today. Of all the types of women’s shoes, high heel shoes can righteously be called the most stylish, sensational and popular type of womens shoes . With a heel height ranging from 2 inches to a whopping 8 inches, high heel shoes are considered the ultimate in sex appeal when it comes to women’s shoes. Owing to the popularity of high heels, shoe designers have created various types of heels such as dagger-like stiletto heels, wedge heels, stacked heels and low heels, kitten heel shoes etc. The other popular types of women’s shoes include sandals, mules, ankle boots, the fetish thigh-high boots, backless mules, athletic style sneaker boots, ankle-strap shoes, pumps etc. The types of women’s shoes can also be categorized according to the purpose of the shoes. For example you can buy smarter, dress shoes for a party, more sturdy and stable work shoes, dance shoes, platform shoes, boots, unisex athletic shoes, comfortable orthopedic shoes and slippers for those cold winter mornings. Why women love to buy shoes? Women’s shoes have lot of sexual connotations. When they buy a new pair of shoes, women secretly desire to catch the attention of the opposite sex or at least look better than the girl standing next to her (although few will admit it). Since variety is the spice of life, a great way to keep the guys at your finger tips is to make sure you head out in show stopping, flamboyant heels every time you leave the house. Unlike clothes, women can buy any shoes that their heart desires without being left feeling overweight, too skinny, ugly, etc. Shoes don’t give women a complex like some fashions do. They’ll never make you feel tall or short either. A beautiful pair of shoes is always likely to compliment a woman. Moreover, the right pair of women’s shoes has the capability of making her feel sexy, elegant and gorgeous. With the constant changes in society and the general evolution of social rights, Women have taken a far more authoritative, opinionated and equal stance than they used to. With status and equity, women have a new found power that pushes them to be different, to be the best they can be. Because of this, they want shoes that fit best with any and every type of outfit, occasion and event that they attend. Further, they do not at all wish to look mundane by wearing the same shoes every time and rather want their shoes to represent their attitude and power. Fashion Tips – Lose a Few Kilos’ Instantly Here’s How Part 1

Author: Sacha Tarkovsky
Any women can look slimmer instantly simply by careful selection of the clothes you wear and literally knock a few kilos off in an instant.
Follow the 12 simple fashion tips below and lose a few kilos instantly!

1. Focus on one color only
Monochromatic dressing (dressing in one color) makes anyone look taller, thinner and leaner.

2. Dark colors

It’s a fact:
Darker colors make you look slimmer than lighter colors. Black and blue for example, are great colors to use for an instant slimmer look.
3. Color Combos

When wearing multiple colors keep them close in intensity to each other. For example, dark blue and black .

4. Darker colors go at the bottom

At the bottom of your outfit, make use of darker colors this will give you an appearance of being taller and make your hips appear slimmer.

5. Heels

High heels with a thin sole automatically makes your legs look longer, you taller and slimmer as a consequence.

6. Legs

Legs will look longer and slimmer if you match your hoise to your shoes and skirts.
With a print skirt, use the main color to find hoise with a matching similar tone.
7. Hosiery
Always wear a neutral color hose or match your hosiery to the lighter color in the shoes and never do the opposite i.e. wear hoise that is darker than the lightest color in your footwear.
8. Don’t bisect a fuller figure
Choose a longer jacket or blouse, and wear it untucked.
This will give a leaner look by taking attention away from your waist.
9. Heavy fabrics make you look bigger!

Never wear clothes made out of heavy fabrics, they will simply make you look fatter, so go for finer, silkier thinner fabrics.

10. Wear clothes that fit

Buy clothing that is not too small and fits you.
Don’t try and be a size 14 if you are a size 16. There are plenty of women who get hung up on size and simply try smaller sizes that hug and make them look bigger – go for the size you are not the size you would like to be. By doing this you will actually look thinner and leaner
11. Vertical lines

Always make you look slimmer.
Single breasted jackets, stripes and ironed creases in trousers will visually slim your body by dividing it into vertical sections and the closer the lines are the leaner and slimmer your look will be.
12. Balance horizontal & vertical proportions

You will look instantly slimmer if you balance your vertical and horizontal proportions.
For example: If you have a long body and short legs you can theoretically wear a short jacket; however, if you have a large breast your jacket should be at least hip length to deflect attention away from the bust area. Wearing clothes that are in proportion to your figure will always make you look slimmer.

The above are simple tips but use them and you will find that you look slimmer leaner instantly. In this series we will also look at a number of simple ways you make yourself look slimmer more stylish and sexier, by focusing on choosing the right clothes and accessories to help you look your best at all times. Try the above and knock off a few kilos instantly!
